Popular price comparison sites - July 2008

Posted by Yan on August 11th, 2008

This is July 2008 revision of the Popular Price Comparison web sites list. You can find the last month revision of the list here.

The change in rating shows the difference compared to Juny results. The list has a total of 35 web sites and there are 16 more sites in my database that don’t meet Alexa Rank < 100,000 requirement.

The best gainer this month is thefind.com (26.13%) which has been doing very nicely this year, up to #18 from #27 in December, 2007.

The worst performer is jellyfish.com (-28.48%). This is understandingly. After Microsoft integrated cash back part of the site into Live Search, smack shopping is all that is left of JellyFish.

Soy Milk, Tofu, and Veggie Burgers for pennies, anyone?

soy beans

Those who are vegetarians, lactose intolerant, or just plain omnivores who like soy products know how much it can hurt the pocketbook. Staying stocked in soy milk, cooking with tofu, and grilling up veggie burgers can be downright financially painful, especially if you have a larger family to feed. But making your own soy products isn’t as difficult as you may think, and you can do it all for literally pennies on the dollar.

The last batch of soy beans I processed cost $1.50 and produced 24 meals. Want to know how? Read on...

Buy dried soy beans in bulk.
